Besam wins architectural award for promoting energy efficiency
Besam colleagues in Spain were recently honored for promoting energy efficiency with their line of air curtains.
Sponsored by the magazine “Architecture and Construction,” the NAN IV awards were presented during a ceremony in Madrid at the end of last year to recognize the contributions of Spanish architecture and building materials in promoting energy efficiency.
Besam Spain's integrated solution combining an air curtain with an automatic door won first prize in its category for promoting energy savings. Air Curtains generate a vertical airflow that prevents air exchange between inside and outside, significantly reducing the loss of warm or cool air from a building.
In addition, the coordinated control of the air curtain through the automatic door reduces the energy consumption of the unit, since it is activated when the door opened (when necessary) and turns off seconds after the entrance is closed.
This award is a clear sign of how Besam products are gaining a strong reputation among architects for their energy-saving properties.
